A gentleman from Germany, and I, an Okinawan, came together through our shared love for basketball and our cultural differences.

As seniors, we quickly formed a bond that would last a lifetime. We shared stories, experiences, and dreams, not knowing that our paths would soon diverge after graduation. My friend returned to Germany, and I stayed in Oklahoma, separated by miles and time.

For years, we lost touch until the miracle of social media brought us back together. Thanks to Facebook, we reconnected and found our friendship as strong as ever. I witnessed the incredible growth and success of my dear friend, now a thriving journalist and talented photographer.
